Subject: Digital Gold Newsletter For June/July
Dear All,
Below is our Newsletter for June/July
READ ALL ABOUT IT FOR JUNE/JULY 1997
Do I really need to Promote My Website?
The answer is YES
It's like saying do I really need to promote my business?
Most People have the viewpoint that the website is the advertisement and
therefore they are promoting their business. That is true except for one
little detail that is left out. People need to see your advertisment in
order to buy from you. For
example if you take out an ad in a magazine or newspaper, you know that
your ad will
be seen by thousands of people as that is why you have taken out an ad
with that
magazine or newspaper. You wouldn't take out an ad in a magazine or newspaper
that nobody read, would you? So then why would you put up a website and
not let
anyone know that it is there?
As this one little detail is almost always overlooked, the majority of
the public
spend all their money in building their website, then putting their
website online and
then nothing. They usually end up blaming their web designer and then
feel that the
web works for everybody but them. It's not the web designer's
responsiblity to get
your website seen, nor to bring traffic to it. It's like saying I hired a
general contractor to build the building and after he built it, he didn't do
the grand opening. It's not the general contractor's job to do the grand
opening.
So, just like any business, "If you Promote it they will come" this
too holds true
for a website, and as long as you promote your site (and your site has no
bugs) your
business will continue to grow and expand.
If you would like more information on promoting your website, drop us a
line at

your questions.
