Transcript of the voicemail
Due to the lack of verbal skills on the part of this wonderful individual, and thanks to the miracle of modern technology and my trained ears(I'm a recording engineer), I have been able to produce a transcript of this heartfelt message to me by one of my biggest critics. This is not 100% accurate, but is close enough. For all of you who do not have sound cards, or can not play .WAV files, please read this transcript.

Hey Mr. Pickett,
You don't know me, I track you down from the net. If you think you're slandering my company on the net, talking your anti-spam bullshit, let me 'splain one thing to you, boy. That means I track you down, I know where you live. You're playing with something bigger than you can expect. I know that being a (obvious sample)queer(back to the voice)boy, well, they let you get away with things. Not here. Like I said, I'm not threatening you, buddy boy, promising you. Lay down that page soon, or me and you, we're gonna dance with the devil under the moonlight. Promise. [click]

Ooh, I'm scared now!
On Saturday, March 21, at 15:53(I always use 24-hour time) indicated on the audio clip, I was left a threatening voicemail. The spammer fails to identify themself, their so-called company, but only theatens some undisclosed action. They claim I am slandering their company, which is fairly difficult for me to do because that would mean I'm making ORAL statements. Still, assuming this person used the correct word and then if this were true, they would mention their company so that this issue could be resolved. Well, the issue is NOT going to be resolved because this low-talking individual failed to even mention the company they are with. Not only that, but he called me "mister"!
So, you want to dance with the devil under the moonlight?
OK, let's dance. I've notified authorties and authorized traces on ALL of my phone lines. To put this in ENGLISH: this means that regardless if caller ID digits are blocked, and regardless of how long I talk on the phone assuming that I even answer the phone, the calling number will automatically be captured. None of this 30-second garbage, as you only need that when you're trying to trace a call in progress. Don't even think of messing with me. Besides being an audio guy, I'm also a data communications guy with friends in the telecomm industry. Just so this individual knows the seriousness of this, the FBI is involved. This constitutes harrassment, borderline terrorism, and definately qualifies as a threat.
In plain English, any and every call made to any of my phone lines will be automatically captured by authorities regardless of any effort made to block the digits and/or if the phone is answered. When I file criminal charges, you will be extradited to my locale for prosecution in a federal court of law. I will be filing a civil suit against this individual, and at which time I will legally be able to obtain the identity, phone number and address of the person responsible.
Is this person willing to pay the price for THEIR freedom of speech? We shall see.

I'll bet this page is going to shock the hell out of this person. I used my Microsoft Phone software with my DSVD modem on my Pentium 133 PC with Windows95 and dumped the voicemail over to my Mac's AudioMediaII card at 44.1K at 16-bit audio using MacroMedia's Deck 2.6.1 for 68K Macs on my Mac Quadra 650. I then converted the SoundDesigner II file to an 8-bit 11K AIFF file. I then converted the AIFF file to a Macintosh System 7 sound file. That file was then converted to a WAV file for maximum compatibility and to save space. I may consider translating to to a Sun OS au file. I'm an audio guy, so don't even attempt this sort of crap on me. If I had more equipment, I would have done some signal processing on it and made it louder and clearer to listen to, but since my digital Yamaha ProMix01 audio console is at my office, I decided to pass on that for the time being. I have saved the voicemail for authorities to listen to as well as made a safety copy on MiniDisc and audio cassette. Out of boredom, I also placed a copy onto my Roland MS-1 sampler.
If you are one of the dilweeds who sent me unsolicited email or are someone thinking about it, drop dead.
