List of Known Spammer Sites
It is impossible to maintain a list of sites that are known spammer sites. Also, such services as AOL, Prodigy, Earthlink and others are plagued by rogue users with trial accounts who are purposely abusing those services in order to scam others. While this list will never be complete, it can still give you some starting points to create filters. This list should help lighten your spam load a little. Remember, the biggest spammers are getting more and more
clever and finding ways around these filters. The fight has to start somewhere, so let me give you a start to fight the good fight.
Spammer Sites
These are sites I have been spammed by. You may have been spammed from other sites. In the future, I will provide a mechanism so that you can notify me of other spammer sites so I can add them here.
- CyberPromo.com - pretty much completely shut down
CyberPromo also includes the following domains that should be filtered as well:
- savetrees.com
- pleaseread.com
- answerme.com
- econopromo.com
There are others, I'm sure. I will add them if you tell me. Remove requests and complaints are generally ignored. It appears that remove request are actually being honored, but there is no way to tell at this point in time.
- juno.com
Juno.com by itself is not intentially a rogue site. They provide FREE email service and do nothing to promote proper usage of such accounts. As a rule though, anything coming from "juno.com" is spam. If you have a friend or someone on Juno.com who has a legitmate need to to email you, you may want to modify that filter. I refuse all email from "juno.com". Complaints go unanswered and the administration is ambivalent.
- Earthstar.com
I can't really say anything other that I never got anything from this domain EXCEPT for spam, and now I no longer get any spam or any other email from that site. Are they still in business? Have they changed their evil ways? I don't know, I don't care, but I do know I am not getting spammed from them anymore.
- isp-inter.net
Another site that has sent me nothing but spam. As a result, I have filtered out all email from this domain as well. I have not gotten anything from them for quite some time now.
- erols.com
- iq-internet.com
- iq-internet.net
Obviously these little scammers are major Star Trek fans due to the names of their mail servers. Still, I have only gotten spam from this organization, so they are filtered out. Make sure your filter includes wild cards for the first part of the domain name, like this:
*.iq-internet.com
- demon.co.uk
- ibb.com
- securenet.net
- golfballsunlimitedusa.com
Dana Jones. Need I say anymore?
- eager4u.com
Porn pushers.
- smartbiz.com
- moneyspider.com
- hotelair.com
- sftcell.com
- ccis.com
Spam facilitators.
- resortnet.com
- ezin.net
- t-1.net
The new spamming home for Dana Jones for now. Also has allowed other spams.
Again, this is by no means a complete list. I'm sure this represents a small portion of the actual spammer sites out there. Please notify me of additional sites. I will be happy to add such new entries when I am notified of them.
