It is our position that the Internet is an open marketplace, where commerce of any and all kinds may take place in accordance with public demand. We do not believe censorship is the responsibility of an Internet service provider. It is not our place to censor customers' content or legitimate business practices. Messages originating from customer sites reflect the opinions of our customers and not necessarily those of Cyber Promotions.snip
and the following is at the beginning of those messages. X-1: The mail you received from this server did not originate from X-2: Cyber Promotions. This server only relays mail from other sources. X-3: To report abuse, please send email to abuse@cyberpromo.com X-4: The easiest way to remove yourself from a mailing list is to X-5: hit reply and type "remove" in the subject field or message body. X-6: The mail from this server does not correspond in any way to X-7: Cyber Promotions' send and remove lists. If you want to filter X-8: unsolicited commercial email, you may wish to check out e-Filter. X-9: Details are available at http://www.cyberpromo.comOf course the remove just begets more spam. What gall though, on the one hand they promote these spammers to use their system to send out the spam, and on the other, they promote their own anti-spamming software. It's no different than having an exterminator plant bugs in your home, and then offer to get rid of them... for a fee. Got any ideas on how to stop this scam?

You need some kind of search engine on this site so that it would be easier to find the bastard one is looking for.
Great job anyway. Thanks

P.S. has anyone seen the mail order "Russian Bride" spam?
I'm not asking you this to upset you. You are obviously
intelligent and I REALLY want to know what you think.

I would like to ask you a question. Unsolicited mail through
the U.S. Postal Service has been a way of doing business for millions
of companies. When faxes came out it happened there too. Then came
Web Pages. I'm sure you have utilized one of these mediums to market
your services in the past. Now, major corporations, including Wall
Street brokerage houses are looking at doing exactly what I have
started doing by individually marketing to people via there e-mail
addresses. Isn't this just another example of free enterprise at work ?
Isn't the utilization of all marketing mediums what drives a free market
economy ?

I don't have time to waste on a useless spammer from a spam domain. This is an ANTI-SPAM and spam-free site, and any and all spam will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Get the picture: your kind are not wanted here.
Before you leave here, remember the following:
Why don't you try approaching this from OUR perspective for a change. Pull your head out of your ass for a few seconds and THINK:
I clearly state I don't like spam. I also clearly state the penalties for sending spam. Despite that, you still want to whine your case here. Are you really that out of touch with reality? I find it hard to believe that someone so clueless can live so lon
g.
Now, see how my marketing works:
You were looking for spam, or anti-spam on a search engine or word of mouth. You took the time out of your waste of a life to find more information on these topics. See, you came to me.
On the flip side:
I have done ZERO publicity regarding my anti-spam section of my domain. I do warn spammers of their awarding of lifetime membership in my "Deadbeat's Hall of Lame", but other than that, NOTHING. Could you imagine if I went through news groups and snagged
email addresses from headers to make a mass-mailing claiming my "careful marketing research shows that you might be interested in this subject" while I take any and every email address I come across to make this mailing list?
Do the world a favor: get off the internet. Your kind are not welcome.

No Selling Involved... The Millionaire Disk Does It ALL!

The headers of the email indicated it came from passport.ca, but after running
I agree with your anti-spamming! I am a sys/admin, and I too am sick of being spammed! I plan on using a modified version of your sig file, but I think I will up the ante to about $1000. :-)
Best of luck in your cause!

To Repent, You Must: [ ] Give up your AOL/Euronet/MSN/Planet Internet account [ ] Bust up your modem with a hammer and eat it [ ] Jump into a bathtub while holding your monitor [ ] Actually post something relevant [ ] Read the f****** FAQ [ ] Be Pat Buchanan's love slave [ ] Be the guest of honor in alt.flame for a month [ ] Stop sending me email. [ ] Apologize to everybody in this newsgroup [ ] Post your tests to alt.test/misc.test In Closing, I'd Like to Say: [ ] Blow me [ ] Bite me [ ] Get a life [ ] Never post again [ ] I pity your dog [ ] Go to hell [ ] I think your IQ must be 7 [ ] Take your s*** somewhere else [ ] Learn to post or f*** off [ ] Do us all a favor and jump into some industrial equipment [ ] See how far your tongue will fit into the electric outlet [X] All of the aboveAnd go to http://www.compulink.co.uk/~net-services/ to see how to fax over the internet for free, I've used all this stuff and it works very well and terifies some would be spamers when you tell them they have violated US Code Title 47 Sec. 227 punishible by a $500 fine.
Along the line of fun with spammers toll-free numbers...
I just signed up Sanford to about 500 magazine subscriptions. A few years ago, I would have had to go to the public library and pull a bunch of the subscription cards and fill them out (you know, the ones that say "bill me later"). Now, with the power of the Internet, I can subscribe him to almost any magazine, catalog, mailing list, email newsletter at will!
I even got him a Publisher's Clearing House mailing and a Radio Shack catalog!
I found a page on Prodigy that had about 300 mailing lists. I subscribed him to about 200 of them.
Sometimes I would use wallace@cyberpromo.com, but most of the time I have been using noc@agis.net, the Network Operations Center email address at Agis.Net, Sanford's ISP. Since they condone his obviously inappropriate behavior, I think they deserve a slice.
I also discovered there are numerous pages on the Internet that are nothing
more than giant repositories for various mail-order catalogs. The convenience
of this is phenominal!! You can subscribe Sanford to 50 catalogs without
having to sift through needless search engine output.
Adios...

Cheers.

It's gotta stop some day, doesn't it?????

I have compiled a list of over 3,300 (and growing every day) suckers from the names contained in those idiotic and illegal chain letters that pollute the net. The list is yours for the taking ABSOLUTELY FREE. These people were dumb enough to fall for a sc am once, maybe they would like to hear about your latest idea.

Let's start with an easy one:
Why is spam worse than informercials? Both are unwanted and take up public space (frequency space or bandwidth).
How about this one:
What's worse: spam or a knock on the door from Jehovah's Witnesses?
Are the Witnesses breaking a law? (I don't think so.)
Incidentally, Witnesses are told to ignore signs saying "No Jehovah's Witnesses". I saw one of their articles, which said that they should ring anyway, in case the person has moved (and didn't take the sign) or has changed his or her mind! (I swear this is true... I wish I had the reference.)
Another easy one:
How is spam worse than junk mail? (Answer: junk mail can be stopped; there's a standard procedure for this.)
P.S. The actual luncheon meat "Spam" (capital "S") is delicious. I hope
they don't get too upset by all this talk of lower-case spam.

Sounds like I could make alot of money off of spammers. How do you deal with people who don't respond to a bill you sent to them? Do you have a reputable collections agency that can coerce a spammer to give them their address and full name? I would thi nk that would be a bit difficult (I mean to actually see the money arrive in your mailbox after you demand it). Have you really succeeded in this spam-busting technique?
Look forward to hearing from you.
