Chris,
I appreciate your comments, but I know my customer and he is not lying. He got some
crazy idea to promote his site and didn't ask my opinion before he did it. I agree,
he screwed up, and he should be punished, that's why his site is offline. But the
real people sending the Spam are Calvin Enterprises. These are the people who are
the Spammers.
I don't like Spam any more than you do. My mail server is constantly bombarded by
these people with their crazy MLM scams and so on. It ties up my resources. I've
been tied up for 2 days responding to all the complaints that I've received.
Again, I appreciate your comments. But my customer is not going to enlist the services
of Bulk E-mailers, ever again. He signed a contract with all kind of penalties within
the contact. He would screw himself if he does it again.
Hey, we are all human, we make mistakes. He made an honest mistake. He's being punished.
If you got a ticket for speeding, even though we know how dangerous it is and you promised
never to do it again, should you loose your license for ever? No, but if you do it again,
then the punishment is worse.
I have a question. If you are so concerned that forwarding the e-mail to others would be
Spamming and that Spammers would be able to harvest more e-mail address, then why are you
posting the messages on your web sites with the e-mail address for all to see? I see that
my e-mail address and the victims of the Spam are available for all to harvest.
Why want you complain about Calvin Enterprises? They are the one's harvesting e-mail address,
forging headers, hijacking mail-servers and sending Spam? I want to combat SPAM just as much
as you do and I don't need the money that badly.
What suggestions do you have to stop Calvin Enterprises and the others that will take their
place? I plan on complaining to the folks who provide net services for them.
Regards,
Scott Huffman
