Deadbeats' Hall of Lame, Special Anti-Spam Spam Edition

WARNING!

Do not sign me up for any mail lists. Studio42 does not accept such unsolicited business. Also, since I've recently been getting a flood of such e-mail from various people and organizations I don't wish to deal with, their names will end up here, along with their home and business addresses, and phone numbers, whenever possible.
Please realize that 99.9% of internet users DON'T want your crap in our e-mail boxes.
Minimum fine for violation of this policy allows me to legally bill/invoice for $500 and this can be escalated to a court of law.

Disclaimer lines placed in every signature file I have now:

|Commercial and/or unsolicited email and/or spam will be processed for|
| a $500 handling fee. Unsolicited sending constitutes acceptance. |
This pretty much indicates what actions I'm am allowed to take.

And now, without further ado, Studio42 presents the:

  • See the spam This is a spam. This is one of MANY spams from this revenge spammer. My web site is incorrect, but it does list MY web site and one of my work addresses and that 800 number. I am calling the police and FBI on this matter.
  • See the lookups Additional lookups, where required, will be coming very shortly. Three others were sent as well:

Up until now, I have simply left this issue alone. It has come to my attention that there are quite a few people who think spam is good and would think nothing of forging addresses and stealing service in order to spam, or even do something like this. I think I owe it as a service to my loyal visitors and all the other nice people I've helped to show them the FULL impact this spam had on EMAIL only. I will NOT address the other issues that are associated with this attack. First, here are the complaints I recieved at my work address:
    1. Subject: Purported anti-spam spam
    2. Subject: Spam Alert - PLEASE REMOVE

    1. Subject: Is this yours, or a revenge SPAM?
    2. Subject: spam report 1 / 26th November 1997
These are the ones that went to spam-hater@studio42.com:
    1. Subject: Spam Alert - PLEASE REMOVE
    2. Subject: junk email possibly from www.studio42.com/spamhaters
This is the one sent to my MediaCity account. Obviously some smart spam-fighter did a "whois" lookup on my domain and did the CORRECT thing by notifying the folks responsible for the domain name used.
