WARNING!

Do not sign me up for any mail lists. Studio42 does not accept such unsolicited business. Please realize that 99.9% of internet users DON'T want your crap in our e-mail boxes.
Minimum fine for violation of this policy allows me to legally bill/invoice for $500 and this can be escalated to a court of law.

Internet Deadbeats' HALL OF LAME
Disney Spam Edition

Subject: VMK Virtual Worlds - 30 Day Preview Date: 8/28/2008 15:09 Received: 8/28/2008 16:16 From: Disney Online Studios, vmk@disneyonline.com To: Chris Pickett, chris@studio42.com
  • See the spam I had to think about this one for a while, but too many things said I have to count this as spam. Yes, I used to play VMK until VMK closed, but the address I provided to Disney is NOT the address they just sent it to, which right there flags this as spam.

See the spam Disney earns strike 2 by hitting my PhotoPass created address and violating those terms and conditions and privacy statements by selling the database to a spam farm operating on spam friendly Level 3. Does Disney want their own spam edition? One more spam will tell that tale.

Subject: Pack now, and the dining's on us, Pickett Family! Date: 9/9/2008 08:06 Received: 9/9/2008 08:09 From: Disney Destinations, vacation@registration.disneyworld.com To: Chris Pickett, DISNEY@studio42.com
  • See the spam I select the box that says "don't send promotional offers via email" and this is how Disney thanks me for being a customer. And they off-load this annoyance onto a known spam-friendly company: theplanet.

Subject: Chris, What Will You Celebrate? Date: 9/23/2008 23:08 Received: 9/23/2008 23:09 From: Disney Destinations, vacation@email.MyDisneyParks.com To: Chris, DISNEY@studio42.com
  • See the spam I will celebrate when Disney stops spamming me. Clearly, Disney did not respect my privacy, and proves it once again.

    UPDATE: December 29, 2008

I took a trip with my family and many in-laws to Disneyland on the 12th of December through the 14th of December. This is just informational. Today, I get Disney hitting my web site via one of their proxies. I guess I'll be receiving a nasty letter from their over-paid and over-worked legal department. If so, you can rest assured it will be scanned at very high resolution, made into a PDF and then posted here for the enjoyment of all. In the meantime, please see the counter errors.
