Deadbeats' Hall of Lame
Websitesubmit Edition
Do not sign me up for any mail lists. Studio42 does not accept such unsolicited business. Also, since I've recently been getting a flood of such e-mail from various people and organizations I don't wish to deal with, their names will end up here, along with their home and business addresses, and phone numbers, whenever possible.
Please realize that 99.9% of internet users DON'T want your crap in our e-mail boxes.
Minimum fine for violation of this policy allows me to legally bill/invoice for $500 and this can be escalated to a court of law.
This page created on May 11, 1998 for a CompuServe action.
And now, without further ado, Studio42 presents the:

Actually, this is one spam harvesting engine. Their goal is to collect email addresses
but use the web promotion as their "service" to get your information. They are mainly
trying to collect live addresses. Regardless, I don't want to use their service anyways.

I think these web promotion losers will are due for their own page. I'll have to use my
own site search utility to find out.
How many one-time mailings do I need from these idiots?

Why do I keep getting this? I certainly do not respond to the spammer, so according
to them, I should never get this again. Oh wait, spammers telling the truth? What a
concept!! It ain't gonna happen.

UPDATE: March 3, 1998
Netcom doesn't take action against sites being spammed for outside of Netcom. In other words:
Netcom will be nice if you do your spamming ELSEWHERE for your Netcom site. Not acceptable.
I am considering this a denial as Netcom is denying responsibility.

Wowk, that was quick, only 90 minutes between lies. Different hijacked server,
but same originating point.
Oh wait, their instructions said "do nothing", sort of like how these people go
about trying to find jobs. I made the mistake of complaining, so that's obviously
how I was chosen to receive this again.

In one day, this spammer has EARN a page just for themself, but they don't get that honor just
yet because I have better things to do. This is actually the 5th spam by these individuals,
so I must create their own page as quickly as possible for ease of tracking and exposing.

UPDATE: March 3, 1998
Resell.Net, the VICTIMS in this spam, have responded. They are aware of the problem and
are responding in a very agressive manner to STOP this spammer. More proof of why
spamming is bad.
First, I recieved a copy of the notice sent to the spammer basically telling them they
are in deep doo-doo over this incident. Note that the spam I received is in the body
of this spam, clearly showing I am part of the reason why resell.net is taking such
aggressive action.

Now see their postmaster responding to me individually.

Once again, these spammers are back. We shall see what is going on. Based on the headers,
this is a spamhouse still clinging to their CyberPromo roots. Unfortunately, this spammer
has moved onto to hijack another network.

I don't know what motivated CompuServe, but they did respond and at least look at my complaint.
This will count as an action. This does NOT explain why they have not done anything on other
spams I've recieved that clearly originated from their network. This notice contains what I
hope will be a useful CompuServe address.
